Remembering the Battle of Fromelles, 19th/20th July 1916, 105 years ago today, and for 5 Returned Veterans resting at Sandgate Cemetery, this would be their last battle of The Great War.

Private Albert Ernest Eather, 2nd & 54th Battalions (Reg No-3286), laid to rest at Sandgate Cemetery on the 17th October 1956, age 59. ANGLICAN 3-197. 53.

Prisoner of War - 19/20th July 1916 (Battle of Fromelles) to 22nd November 1918.
Repatriated from Germany to England on the 22nd November 1918.

Returned home 12th March 1920. Discharged on the 10th June 1920.

Service record states Died 16.10.1956.
