Sept 1918 - Word has been received that Sergeant Bernard (Pat) Hagan, of Barraba, has been wounded while fighting in France. He has seen nearly three years' service, and this is the first time he has been put out of action.
May 1919 -Official word has been received that Sergt. Bernard Hagan, of Barraba is expected to land in Sydney on Saturday, May 31, after three years on active service. One Brother has been killed and another is returning shortly. Sergt. Hagans' wife and sister, Mrs. J. T Brady, are going to Sydney to meet him.
