Otha Everleigh BASSETT was born in Condobolin, New South Wales in 1890

His parents were Alfred BASSETT & Emma Theresa WHILEY who married in All Saints Church, Condobolin on 25th June, 1888

He enlisted in Liverpool, NSW on 12th May, 1915 and embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Orsova on 14th July, 1915 with the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 7th Reinforcements

Otha was Killed in Action at Fromelles in France on 3rd July, 1916 & is buried in the Rue-David Military Cemetery
