Biography contributed by Stephen Brooks

James Robert's older brother, 2763 Pte. Hugh Roberts 55th Battalion AIF was later killed in action in France 22 August 1918, aged 26.

They were the sons of William Roberts, of Glenorie, New South Wales, and the late Sarah Jane Roberts, their mother having passed away during 1904 when they were young boys.
