Son of Chares Howard ANGAS and Elia Etty nee DEAN
Dudley Theyer Angas (1892–1942) married Canadian Mary Abbott on 18 April 1925. He was a member of the British Flying Corps in France and Flanders, and later in South-West Africa
Sudden Death of Mr. Dudley Theyer Angas
After taking evidence from several people at the homestead on Hill River, on Thursday morning of last week, Sgt. A.G. Ewens, of the Clare Police, who made enquiries into the sudden death of Mr. Dudley Theyer Angas, Stockowner, aged 50 years, which occurred suddenly when he was conveyed from Hill River to the Clare Hospital on November 10th and died in that institution on Nov. 11th., a full report of the occurrence was presented to the Coroner, Mr. I.S. Scott, J.P., who after careful perusal of the evidence, deemed an inquest unnecessary. A service was held at St. Peter's Cathedral, Adelaide on Friday November 13, before the committal at the West Terrace Crematoriuam. Messres Pengelly and Knabe being the funeral directors and the Rector of St. Barnabas' Chruch, Clare (the Rev. R.V.S. Adams) officiating at both ceremonies. It has not yet been announced where the ashes of the late Mr. Angas will be interred.
Biography
Dudley Theyer Angas enlisted and served in the Royal Naval Air Service in England after a period in SW Africa during WW1.
