Biography

Joined the Australian Army in January 1955, graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1958,[1] and from 1958 to 1969, served as an officer in the Regular Australian Army, during which time as an infantry captain he was Mentioned in Despatches during the Vietnam War.[2]
