Graham Studley Cornes (1948 - )
Graham Cornes is one of the best known identities in South Australia thanks to his life-time association with Australian Rules football, at State and National level as a player coach and mentor, and as a media commentator / personality. He has a great love of 'State of Origin' football and of course was the inaugural coach of the Adelaide Crows when they formed in 1993/4. He also turns up at all sorts of events with his "Cornsey's All Stars" rock and roll band!
Graham is a strident supporter of the veteran community, having served in the Army as a National Serviceman during which time he undertook combat operations in South Vietnam with the 7th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, Royal Australian Infantry Corps during 1968. He has served on the Board of the Repat Foundation SA.
He is a member of both the South Australian National Football League Hall of Fame. and the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
His sons Chad and Kane are champion footballers in their own right, most famously associated with Port Adelaide although Chad finished his AFL career with Greater Western Sydney. He is married to Nicole and they have three daughters.
