Biography

Son of Alfred Henry and Mary Elizabeth Brown; husband of Jean Brown, of Adelaide, South Australia.

HIS DUTY FEARLESSLY AND NOBLY DONE EVER REMEMBERED

Advice has been received by Mrs. L.R. Brown, of 67 Byron Place, City, that her husband Private Leslie Robert Brown, was killed in action on Otober 9.  Private Brown was 29, and before enlisting was manager of the Flagstaff Hotel, City.  He was captain of the West Adelaide United Football Club in the Amateur League from 1935 to 1937, and played for West Adelaide League and Association tams in 1938 and 1939.
