Husband of Beatice Simmons nee Warren of 3 Woodstock Lane, Waverley, NSW. Arthur and Beatrice were married during 1911c in Woollahra, NSW. Father of Beatrice C. Simmons, Cecil Simmons and Leila F. Simmons

Commenced return to Australia on 22 January 1917 aboard HT Euripides

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

Previously served in the Boer War also under the name of William Dunsmore with the 6th Imperial Bushmen with the rank of Private, service number 529
