"THE LATE PRIVATE S. E. MOYSE.
The military authorities have advised the relatives of Private S. E. Moyse, who was previously reported as missing, that he was killed in action in France on August 6 last. Private Moyse was the fifth son of the late M. and E. Moyse, of Blythwood. Mitcham. He was educated at St. Michael's Church School, Mitcham. He was for a number of years a member of the S.A. Militia. Some 14 years ago he left South Australia to engage in mining operations in Western Australia, where he enlisted, and embarked for Egypt on October 4, 1915. Ultimately he proceeded to France, and remained in the firing line until his death." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 27 Jan 1916 (nla.gov.au)
