Born on August 21, 1883, John was the son of Annastsia Duckworth, (Holmes) and Edward Duckworth, Step Son of Lousia Duckworth, (Stafford) Eldest brother, Step brother of six sisters and three brothers.
Husband of Mary Jane Duckworth, (Heald) and Father of one son and one daughter.
John was a Labourer prior to enlistment to World war 1 on August 20, 1914 at Pontville, Tasmania Australia aged 31
John went to WW1 in the company of his two brothers, serving at Gallipoli and France.
John was killed in action on 23 Jul 1916 at the Somme, (Pozières) France, aged 33
