Biography

Left school 1962 Intermediate became Assistant Professional Golfer at Kooyonga Golf Club Adelaide. Called up for National Service July 1967 Went to Puka, Singleton, Woodside and 9RAR Arrived 9RAR in December 1967. As we were amongst the first to arrive at Woodside we were given a choice of jobs in the Battalion. Applied to be Driver. Trained until going to Vietnam with advance party. Nov 4th 1968. Left for Australia 14th May 1969. Returned to Port Pirie and became a Bookmaker after my Dad. Got into computers in the late 70's on advice from a 9RAR mate. Went broke bookmaking and became IT Manager at Port Pirie TAFE and then Port Pirie Hospital. Retired in 2005. Currently (2015) President of Port Pirie RSL.
