Reginald Max RECHNER was born in Edithburgh, South Australia on 30th January, 1913
His parents were Alwin RECHNER & Elizaabeth Hedwig HOFFMAN
He married May Jean FURBOW in St Michael & All Angels Church in Henlry Beach, SA in 1942
He enlisted in the RAAF in Adelaide on 27th May, 1940 (see attached biography for futher details of his service prior to this date - he was promoted through the ranks & his final rank was Squadron Leader in the Head Quarters of the North West Area in Darwin, Northern Terriroty
Reginald died in Adelaide on 7th September, 1993
He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) and in 1960 received the honour of the Commander of the Order of the British Empire
