Engine Room Artificer (ERA) Raymond Arthur Roy Lines (Service No:PA4321) served in the RAN from 2 August 1943 on HMAS Cerberus, Penguin, and Rockhampton and was attached to HMAS Torrens at Discharge on 30 August 1946.

Ray was born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1923, eldest of two children of Roy William George Lines (b1897 in Bute, South Australia) and Hilda Myrtle Cooper (b1901 in Adelaide, South Australia). Roy and Hilda married in 1922 in Adelaide, where they settled and raised their family and Roy worked as a Fuser.

In 1945 in Unley, South Australia, Ray married Evelyn May Barunga (b1924 at Port Wakefiled, South Australia). Ray died in 1998 and Evelyn in 2018.
