Son of James TURNBULL and Mary Ann nee JONES, Daisy Street, Newtown, Geelong, Vic.

Served in Gallipoli and France. 

He suffered dysentery and was transferred to No 2 General Hospital on 28/9/1915 but later returned to Gallipoli on 27/11/1915

Transferred to the 60th Battalion, then 58th Battery and soon after again in 1916 taken as a mustered Driver to Divisional Ammunition Coluum

During his service he was addmited mulitple times to hospital with Dysentry and was AWOL 20.2.1918 for 2 days and was awarded 7 days pay forfieted.

Returned to Australia per 'Burmah' 29 January 1919 and discharged from the AIF 30 March 1919.
