Son of Joseph Hack and Louisa Sarah Hack nee Stock of MacQuarie Plains, NSW.

Brother of William Frederick Hack, Albert Ernest Hack DCM who returned to Australia having served with the 26th Battalion, Robert Cecil Hack who returned to Australia on 10 April 1919 having served with the 26th Battalion, Frederick Joseph Hack who returned to Australia on 16 May 1919 having served with the 26th Battalion, Ida Eva Hack, Louisa Maud Hack, Muriel Olive Hack, Agnes Annie Hack, Mathew John Hack, Myrtle Miriam Hack, Stanley George Hack, Mary Victoria Sara Hack, Clarence Rupert Hack, Mary Victoria Sarah Hack and Joseph Edward Hack

Harry was born as Henry Alfred HACK at Macquarie Plains, Tasmania on 24th March, 1888

His parents were Joseph HACK & Louisa Sarah STOCK

He enlisted in Ross, Tasmania on 1st November, 1915 and embarked with the 12th Infantry Battalion, 15th Reinforcements from Melbourne on the HMAT Ballarat on 19th February, 1919

Harry was Killed in Action between the 19th to 22nd August, 1916 - no known grave - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers Bretonneux Memorial
