Horatio White was born to parents William White and Kate Mitchell.
Horatio was the third of 4 sons born, and he had 6 sisters.
Horatio married Elsie May Bradshaw on the 8th April 1905. They were the parents of a daughter Edna. Elsie May died on the 2 July 1957 at the age of 74 years.
Horatio's younger brother, Corporal Cyril White of the 27th Battalion also enlisted and was killed on the 26th March 1917.
