Son of Arthur John Sabine BOITANO and Violet Rose CARR
Nephew of Private Angelo Roy BOITANO KIA 3 September 1916 at Mouquet Farm, France

Married to Irene Kinniburgh and they had two daughters.
He spent time in the Port Adelaide Naval Cadets.
His father and brothers all serviced in the Military, which inspired Arthur to join the Royal Australian Navy.
Injured during service on the HMAT Arunta, and was awarded DSM.
