William Michael Bowers was born 24th of February 1892, in Wentworth, NSW. He died in 1966 in Mildura, Victoria. William was a Private in the 3rd Light Horse regiment in World War 1.

William was raised in Wentworth with his 4 sisters and 1 brother. He worked as a fisherman before he joined the war. He enlisted 3rd September 1915 and embarked from Adelaide 18th November 1915. He served in the Middle East
