Son of Leslie Herbert Hamilton Shepley and Susan Shepley, of Toorak Gardens, South Australia.

Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Shepley, of Portrush road, Toorak Gardens, have been informed that their elder son, FO Kenneth Maxwell Shepley, is missing believed to have lost his life as a result of air operations  on January 15. FO Shepley, who enlisted in the Air Force in May, 1940, took part in operations in Singapore, Java, and New Guinea. At the time of his enlistment he was in the employ of H. V. McKay  Massey Harris Ltd.  He was engaged to Sister Jean Rayner of the RAAF. His only brother, Don, after serving three years in the Middle East and New Guinea with the AIF, is a pilot trainee in the RAAF, Canada.

Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Shepley of  Portrush road Toorak Gardens, have been notified that their elder, son. FO Kenneth Maxwell Shepley. who was reported missing in air operations on January 15. is now  presumed to have lost his life, on that date. PO Shepley was educated at the Kadina Primary School and St. Peters College. He enlisted in May. 1940. and took part in operations in Singapore, Java, and New Guinea.
