Flying Officer McIntosh 742 in Kittyhawk AK736 of 3SQN was reported missing when his aircraft failed to return from a sweep in the Agedabia region of north-eastern Libya - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Alamein Memorial, Egypt
