Missing Over Europe
Flying-Officer Bruce Ernest Barrow, 20, of Grassmere road, Prospect, has been reported missing in an air operation over Europe. Advice of this has been received by his parents. Mr. and Mrs.. R. E. Barrow.  Flying - Officer Barrow, who was captain of a Lancaster bomber, was a cadet in the Air training Corps before he joined the Royal Australian Air Force in November 1942. He went overseas in 1943. He was educated at Nailsworth, Blair Athol and Adelaide High School.
