Sergeant Jack Ronald Weir 416637 was severely injured when Wackett Trainer aircraft A3-104 from Number 2 Wireless & Gunnery School crashed near Bogan Road (Parkes, NSW) on the 21st of August 1943 - he was discharged from the RAAF in June 1944 while at Number 5 Convalescent Depot

Flying Officer Bishop 415890 was killed in the incident
