Sergeant Parsons 407802 of 21SQN (attached to 453SQN) RAAF was killed when Brewster Buffalo AN-170 was shot down near Muar, Malaya
His one of 8 Buffalo fighters escorting Glenn Martin bombers and Wirraway aircraft to attack Japanese invasion forces at Muar where they were engaged by a strong enemy fighter force
He is mentioned in the book "Buffaloes over Singapore" by Brian Cull
His body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Singapore Memorial
