"Nundle Lad"
Roy Clifford Wolfenden is my great Uncle (my Grandmother's brother). He would have been educated at Nundle public school. Prior to his enlistment, he worked at Odgers and McClelland general store in Nundle, NSW.
He was very well liked by and very popular with the town folk.

The residents of Nundle district were greatly grieved to learn of the death of Roy Clifford Wolfenden, who enlisted two years ago at the age of 19 years.
Served in France in the battle of Messines and other engagements, sadly died of illness on the 27th March, 1918 aged 21 years.
His brother also died of illness in France on 25th December, 1917 aged 24 years.
Of my Grandmother's family, two of her sons, her two brothers and a nephew enlisted in WW1.
Sadly she lost her two brothers.
