Mr. Lockwood went into the Air Force in September 1943.  After being with the RAAF in Adelaide, Sydney and Werribee, Mr. Lockwood had 15 months in Darwin, and later came to Mallala.  During this time he was a fitter DMT. Mr. Lockwood was a printer's apprentice before enlistment, and returning this month, is now a printer and compositor.  He is residing in Sturt Street East with his parents, Mr and Mrs. A.E.A. Lockwood, Jnr.
