In 1945 we moved to Crystal Brook with his faether, John Henry Hurst (Jack).
Jack started his own company J H Hurst and Sons- an agricultural Engineering business- where Doug and his brothers worked.
On 6th August 1949 he married Jean Doreen Murdock. They had 3 children: Barbara, Brian and Diane.
