ULVERSTONE.

The Last Post. - Yesterday afternoon the remains of Pte. Ernest J. W. Kelly, late 40th Battalion, A.I.F., were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery, in the presence of a large number of his comrades and the general public. Preceding the hearse were a number of returned soldiers, under Sergt. E. Trebilco. The coffin was taken into the Sacred Heart Church, where the service for the dead was read by the Rev. M. J. Dowling. The chief mourners were:- Messrs. Thos. Kelly (father), W. J. Keily, Thos. Kelly. Jun., H. Kelly and C. Kelly (brothers), Mrs. Russell (sister). The pall-bearers were Ptes. H. Boyles, R. G. Reilly, G. Wood, and L. R. Shipp. At the conclusion of the burial service the Last Post' was sounded by Driver A. Quantrill.
