Son of Leslie John and Beatrice May O'Neil, of Launceston, Tasmania.

L.A.C. Alfred Daniel O'Neill, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. O'Neill, Little Green-street, Launceston, died suddenly on June 5 at an R.A.A.F. station in New South Wales.

L.A.C. O'Neill was born at  Mitcham, South Australia, and would have been 19 years of age at the end of this month. He came to Tasmania with his parents 13 years ago and was educated at the Invermay  State School. Before enlisting he was employed  by Mr. J. W. Fletcher, Tamar-street. His parents attended the funeral, which took place with full Air Force honours in New South Wales.
