Son of Charles Aloysius Fox and Clara Novello Fox of 'Avouri', Laura Street, Caulfield, Victoria formerly of 6 Cowper Street, Brighton, Victoria and Christchurch, NZ. Brother of Justin Bede Fox who was killed in action on the 15 November 1917 and was buried in The Huts Cemetery Plot X1V, Row C, Grave 20 and Margaret M. Fox

Commenced return to Australia on  6 May 1919 aboard Kaiser-I-Hind disembarking on the 16 June 1919

In May 1952 he was living at 1 Range Road, Gosford, NSW

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

Previously served with the Naval and Military Force's 3rd Battalion for over a year having enlisted on the 9 November 1914 and was discharged on 23 December 1915 with the rank of Corporal.
