9 Dec 1941: Involvement Royal Australian Air Force, Leading Aircraftman, 47284, Repair and Servicing Units, Aitape - Wewak, New Guinea, Mark joined the RAAF as Aircraftman 1 from 9 Dec 1941 to 16th March 1943. He became Leading Aircraftman 16th March 1943 until his discharge in 1946. The Unit he served in before discharge was known as Number 12 Repair and Salvage Unit.
