Husband of Madeline O'Connor nee Griffiths of Hambleton Street, Albert Park, Melbourne, Victoria. William and Madeline married during 1908c in Perth, WA.

Commenced return to Australia on 12 March 1918 aboard SSKenilworth Castle then transhipped at Durban to HT Field Marshall disembarking on 13 May 1918
