Norman Leslie Clark died at the age of 18 years. He was a shop assistant in Wide Bay, Gympie, and enlisted on the 21 September 1915 in the 25th Battalion AAIF, a few months short of his 18th birthday. He disembarked in Marseilles France on the 5 June 1916. He was admitted to hospital at Etaples, France and was diagnosed suffering with 'Pneumoccal Meningitis". He died a few days later and is buried Etaples Military Cemetery.
He was the son of William Benjamin and Martha Clark, of Gympie, Queensland.
His older brother, 6215 Pte. Frank Edmund Clark 15th Battalion AIF, was later killed in action in 1 February 1917, aged 23.
