Leading Aircraftman William Edwin Stone 18549 of 8SQN RAAF (Singapore Memorial) and Leading Aircraftman Maxwell Verdun Neylon 27324 of 1SQN RAAF (Kranji War Cemetery, Singapore) were killed during a Japanese air-raid on Sembawang airfield, Singapore (their deaths are mentioned in book “In the Vanguard against Japan” by E.R. (Bon) Hall in the “Glory in Chaos” set of titles)
