Son of Elsie Alice DAVEY of 265 Robin Street, Semaphore, SA
Husband of Margaret Jean DAVEY of 3 Sarah Street, Marleston, SA
Educated at Halbury, Leonard followed sport, mostly trotting, and was a keen swimmer and was fond of both ice and roller skating. In civilian life he worked at gardening and in vineyards in the Lower North for several years and farming. He enlisted in July 1940 and trained at Parafield, then transferred to Darwin. His fatherinlaw Pte. Peter Findlay served in the Freat War with the 32nd Battalion.
