Lodestar aircraft VH-CAB operated by Qantas Empire Airways (QEA) for the Allied Directorate of Air Transport crashed shortly after take-off from Wards airstrip near Port Moresby, New Guinea with all on board killed.  Australian service personnel buried at Bomana -
