Presentation to Mrs. McGrath, Euralie.
Last Sunday Messrs. J. Crocker, C. Lawrence and. E Lawrence called at the residence of Mr. aud Mrs. J. J. McGrath, Euralie, intent upon a very pleasing little ceremony, namely, the presentation to Mrs. McGrath, on behalf of the residents of Euralie, of a gold medal suitably inscribed, in affectionate remembrance of her dear and valiant son Pte. C. J. McGrath who fell in action on April 16th, 1916 while fighting for the King and country. The souvenir bears the following inscription ;—Presented to Mrs. J. J. McGrath by her Euralie friends as a souvenir of her son Pte. Clement Joseph McGrath, who was killed in action on April 15th 1916.
The visitors also presented on behalf of the President and Councillors of the Goodradigbee Shire the illuminated certificate which had been framed at the cost of Euralie friends.
