His parents were George Alexander WASHINGTON & Emma SAYER

His brother Audley Tennyson WASHINGTON (SN 28813) also served in the Army during WW1 and returned to Australia (3rd Field Artillery Brigade & Medium Trench Mortar Battery) - he died in Melbourne in 1935
