Son of George Henry FORD and Gertrude Eleanor FORD nee HINES, "St. Elmo" Factory Street, Parramatta, New South Wales.
Served in Palestine (Raffa, Gaza, Jericho), contracted typhoid at Jordan Valley and was invalided to Australian Base Hospital Port Said, where before recovery, he contracted malaria fever and influenza. Recovered and returned to duty in Moascar. Spr. Ford is a grandson of the late Mr. W.A. Hines, of the 99th Reg., orderly to the late Gove. Fitzroy at Parramatta.
