Son of Allan Olle and Mary Ann Olle nee Morrison of Penshurst, Victoria.

On 6 October 1918 Arthur married Ethel Florence Thornett in the Holy Trinity Church, Willesden, Kilburn, Middlesex, England. Vicar Hope C. Tiarks officiated.

Commenced return to Australia on 12 December 1918 aboard HS Nestor disembarking on 1 February 1919
