Life Membership of the RSL was awarded in 1967. He worked at the Barmera sub branch on the executive for 2 years and 5 years local sub branch hospital vistor, He worked to erect the club rooms. Willing to supported member in destress. He conducted volunteer maintenance of club surroundings. He was the secretary of the 10th/50th Unit Club Upper Murray and was awarded a life membership. RSM Volunteer Defence Core 8th battalion Head Quarters Murray Bridge. Awarded a life membership by the Barmera Agricultural Bureau. He was Patron and a Life Member of the Rifle Club. Member Bamera Hotel Inc Board of Management 4 years inclusive.
