Gordon Liddon Merrett, born in Port Wakefield, South Australia on the 27th of February 1913.

Gordon parents were James Merrett and Sarah Liddon Merrett and he had 11 siblings.

He married Tamar Gertrude Myrtle Gwendoline Worrell, and he had at least one child of his own.

He enlisted 17th April 1942 and was discharged at his own request in June 1944

At the age of 74, he passed away on the 11th of November 1967 and was buried in the West Terrace Cemetery.
