Leonard Jones recollection

Shared by Phil Marnell and Murray Jones on the Australian and NZ in WWI

Len Jones; "11 am, 11th November, and the news came through, it’s all over at last. I felt very ‘quiet’ about it. There was much jollification in the canteen, but I didn't feel like it. I think that we had been at it so long it seemed impossible to realise that it was finished, fini, napoo, ma feesh, kaput."
