Son of Edwin Robert and Hilda G TURNER of 19 Heathpool Road, Heathpool, SA. Educated at Prince Alfred College in civilian life he was a grocer. Enlisting in June 1940 he served five months at Alice Springs and then left for Singapore in February 1941.
