Leonard james Norman Lipple was the son of George Alexander Lipple (1859-1899) and Eliza Maria Lipple nee Oaks (1858-1942) of Bristol, England.
He married Elsie Alice Anderson ( 1896-1971) in Geraldton, Western Australia.
