Bush contractor 29 years, single – Address: Wagin, Western Australia. Unit embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia, on board HMAT Mongolia on 17 July 1916. N.O.K. (Father) Alexander Doig, Wagin, Western Australia. Served Egypt. Awarded Military Cross. 'This officer, whilst carrying out the duties of right flank guard to the regiment in its advance on Jenin on 20th September 1918, came upon nearly 1,000 of the enemy. With quick decision and free courage, he charged with the sword, completely demoralizing the enemy, with the result that the whole party was captured by him.
