Pte. William Allen Ronald Pearn 2/27th AMF aged 20. Son of Mr and Mrs W L Pearn of Oxford Terrace Unley. Educated at Unley Public and Adelaide High Schools. Played football for Sturt Junior Team for two years. In civil life employed as a clerk. Enlisted in AMF in August 1941. Trained at Warradale and then transferred to Darwin. After service there he contracted a serious complaint and was sent to Adelaide for treatment. He did not respond to treatment and died on January 26 1943. His father a Corporal in 27th AIF in Great War saw service overseas was shell shocked at Messines and returned to Australia in 1916.
