One of six siblings (Adrian, Mercia, Ross, Clive, Joan and Dorothy) who served in WWII, Private Clive Harry Keith Thomas (Service No:S19830) served in the ACMF with 27th Scottish Regiment Woodside and 43rd Infantry Battalion (26 July 1940 - 25 June 1942) - Darwin and surrounds, Northern Territory.

Keith was born in Glenelg, South Australia in 1920, fifth of seven children of Henry (George) Thomas (b1888 in Woolahra, New South Wales) and Harriet (Rose) Butler (b1891 in Glenelg, South Australia). In 1907 George was Reported Missing from home, and in 1914 he and Rose married in Glenelg, where they settled and raised their family - six of their seven children served in WWII. Goerge worked as a Labourer, Distiller and Tomato Grower.

Keith worked as a Dairyman, and was a Milk Vendor in 1940 when he enlisted in the Army. Following his Discharge, Keith was working as a Milk Vendor in 1946 when he married Eileen Veronica Mary March (b1918 in Brompton, South Australia) - Eileen was working as a Machinist. Keith and Eileen settled in Glengowrie, where they raised their family and Keith worked as a Salesman for MLC Insurance, a Builder's Labourer, a Plasterer, and from 1956 until his death as a Factory Maintenance Worker at Hills Industries. Keith died in 1976 and Eileen in 2007.
