Married with 3 children, Stanley followed all outdoor sports.  Prior to WW1 he worked a fruit round at Broken Hill, and after returning from the Great War worked in the Broken Hill Mines. After moving to Port Victoria he was employed at Trehearne's Store. His daughter is with the A.W.A.S.
