'DEATH OF S.A. MEN ADVISED.
Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Murray, Stonehaven street, Rosewater Gardens, have been advised that their second son, Sapper M. J. Murray, R.A.E., previously reported missing, is now reported missing, died July 1, 1942.
He was at Fort Largs, and left for Queenscliffe and Rabaul in January, 1941. His two brothers are in the services, Ray in the A.I.F., and Ron in the R.A.N. Before enlistment Spr. Murray was employed by Austral Sheet Metal Works, Southwark.' from The Mail 27 Oct 1945 (nla.gov.au)
